Homework and announcements

Here are the homework assignments for Algebra 2. Most of them refer to handout packets; copies of these handouts are available to you by logging into the FirstClass system.

Assignments will generally be added to this page daily, but if an assignment is given in class but doesn't get posted here for whatever reason, you're still responsible for it.

HW due Tue. 11/3 (H block only)

Finish the problem set "Logarithmic change of base."

HW due Mon. 11/2 (E block only)

Finish the problem set "Exponentials and logarithms: wrap-up and review."

We will have a second quiz about exponentials and logarithms on Tuesday 11/3. The 10/30 packet has a review topic outline.
Thursday, October 29, 2009

No HW due Mon. 11/2 for A block

Since we just had a full-period test, A block class has no homework due Monday.

HW due Fri. 10/30 (E block)

Do the problem sheet dated 10/28, "More exponential graphs and applications."

Test Thu. 10/29 (A and H blocks only)

Thursday we will have a test on exponentials and logarithms. The review packet from Wednesday's class has a topic outline.

Wednesday in class we worked on a set of review problems. Your homework is to finish the review problems if not already done, and to get ready for the test.

The homework varies depending on class block, as follows:

  • A block: Finish the packet "Exponentials and logarithms: misc. topics and review."
  • E block: Finish the packet "Logarithmic change-of-base; review problems." Also, this class has quiz Wednesday on exponents and logarithms (see today's packet for a list of what will be covered on this quiz).
  • H block: Finish the packet "Exponentials and logarithms: misc. topics and word problems."
